I think that's probably appropriate. This is fundamentally a mean-spirited organization that's (in theory) designed to punch-down on unworthy achievements that wasted audiences time while enriching its backers. In reality, they exist to shit on low-hanging fruit year after year. I think as a rule of thumb it's probably okay to not nominate people under 18.
So, here's my question. How long until they apologize for nominating Jake Lloyd for The Phantom Menace? This kid really went through shit due to the reaction of his performance and the Razzies were happy to leap on it. He probably would've "won" if it wasn't for Jar-Jar Binks that year.
Or the Razzies could be seen with a sense of humour and not make such a big deal about it the way many (woke) people are suddenly reacting over this young actress and her dismal performance.
And Jake Lloyd didn't have the Razzies to shit all over him. Every critic (and the audience) already did that to him the minute his film came out. Just as they did to Sofia Coppola in Godfather III. A shitty performance is a shitty performance. And it doesn't take a Razzie nomination to make that clear.
