My 9-year old burst into tears when she heard, Hagrid was her favorite. My first memories of him were in the Brosnan Bond series as Valentin Zukovsky and the one episode of "Cracker" I saw. He was a genial screen presence and seemed like an upstanding person, RIP.

I never did see Cracker, but the first film I saw him in was Nuns on the Run, a film almost everyone seems to have forgotten about.

Of course will be most cited for Hagrid, but if you never saw him in the BBC Cracker, you missed him at his best.
