Yes, it's played over the opening credits. Appears to be the original recording, not an adaptation.

Here is an article about the song. I can't remember if there is an adapted version in the film, though, or if this is the only version that plays (the opening credits, I believe?)

In the film Vicky Cristina Barcelona (which, unlike most past Woody Allen flicks I got a screener for, I have not seen), I have been told that there's a song called "Barcelona" that is adapted from a previous work. Can anyone tell me from what work it is adapted?
