RIP Peter Brook

Whether they are behind the camera or in front of it, this is the place to discuss all filmmakers regardless of their role in the filmmaking process.

I regret I didn't see much of his work -- Marat/Sade was a bit too early for me, and I never could quite make it to Brooklyn for some of what he did. But I did see his Midsummer Night's Dream in the early 70s, and it was evidence of an extraordinary imagination.

A giant of the theatre

He didn't do much film work (mostly just filmings of his stage work), but perhaps the most influential director 20th Century theatre.
