I know this is a couple of weeks late, and he may not be everyone's cup of tea, but Lemmy was an iconoclast and a legend, highly influential across multiple musical genres, marching to the beat of his own (very fast) drum, and continued making often-great music to the very end.

He was a marked contrast with David Bowie, the steadfast foil to Bowie's mercurial genius. To have lost them within 2 weeks of each other is a huge blow to the music world.
