From Yahoo news:

Corey Clark Miffed by 'Idol' Spoof
Thursday May 26 3:49 PM ET

Bo Bice might have lost out to Carrie Underwood on the "American Idol" finale, but the one who's really upset is Corey Clark.

Clark, the former contestant who says he had an affair with judge Paula Abdul during the 2003 competition, didn't like the skit making light of the situation. On Wednesday night's show, TV newsman Steve Edwards presented a satirical report entitled "Bad Judgment" that purported to reveal judge Simon Cowell's "secret relationship."

The twist, though, was that the self-centered Cowell was all along in love with himself.

"We're reminded once again last night in front of millions of viewers that not only are they not taking it seriously, but they don't feel as though we should take it seriously," Clark's spokesman, Jed Wallace, told AP Radio on Thursday.

"It's simply baffling to me that Fox would actually resurrect this controversy by doing something like that," said Wallace, calling it a "slap in the face."

Clark responded similarly after Abdul made a comedic appearance on "Saturday Night Live" earlier this month. Afterward, he announced that he had "explicit" and "incriminating" evidence of their alleged affair.

Abdul has called the allegations "lies." Fox has said it would investigate the claims, but that Clark had not responded to requests for help in the investigation.

Clark, 23, is currently shooting a music video for the first single of his debut CD, due out in June.

Ellie May Clampett won. She's young, easy to manipulate, looks like someone Simon wants to sleep with, and has absolutely no vision for her career, so she can let 19E ruin it for her. Good for her.

According to someone on another message board who was at the finale, Carrie's win was not popular at all in the Kodak theater; One person even yelled "#### you Carrie" loud enough that the judges and crew turned around. (They were promptly escorted out by security.)

My rankings:

01. Bo ("Vehicle)
02. Carrie ("Angels Brought Me Here")
03. Bo ("Inside Your Heaven)
04. Carrie ("Inside Your Heaven")
05. Bo ("Long Long Road")
06. Carrie ("Independence Day")

All in all, I think Bo did just slightly better than Carrie who, I admit, has vastly improved her stage/performance presence tonight.

They both were off tonight. Carrie had an ear infection and Bo had a cold (settled in his throat) and food poisoning, and it showed tonight. Overall I think Bo sang better than Carrie, but Carrie will win because she's bland and safe and not remotely threatening in the least and if you cut her she'd bleed vanilla.

Carrie lost it for me tonight though, when she smiled her way through "Independence Day". It's not a song about a holiday, or fireworks, or celebration. It's about a woman with an abusive husband who burns the house down while he sleeps, and ends with the young daughter (from whose point of view it's told) being put in foster care. Carrie had a big smile on her face as she sang that happy line, "But daddy left the proof on her cheek".

Enjoy your American Idol final, guys. (Or has it happened already?) I've heard clips of the final contestants, Bo and Carrie, and they both sounded pretty good to me. I'd say Bo's catch in the throat is more to my taste than Carrie's purty purity. But neither one strikes me as being either great singers or star quality, at least not based on the little I've heard of them. And so it goes.

01. Bo ("In a Dream") (Holy ####. That was pure artistry and we're talking American Idol here.)
02. Carrie ("Makin' Love Out of Nothing at All") (Yes. Her best performance since "Alone")
03. Bo ("I Can't Get No Satisfaction") (A fun, energetic performance. It shows his versatility)
04. Vonzell ("Chain of Fools") (Her best performance of the night. She's best when she's doing these types of songs)
05. Bo ("Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me") (Not his best but still a good performance)
06. Vonzell ("On the Radio") (Ditto my second statement about her above).
07. Carrie ("Crying") (Vocally perfect but the performance is just okay for me)
08. Carrie ("Man, I Feel Like a Woman") (Uneven. Good in parts. Bad in parts.)
09. Vonzell ("I'll Never Love This Way Again") (Uneven.)

WILL/SHOULD GO: Vonzell.

Bo's second song tonight was the best thing in the history of the show.

Vonzell shat one of the worst performances in the history of sound, and she got to stay. Worst vocalist ever to make the top four on this show is what she is.

Not that I'd ever buy Anthony's album, but he got screwed this week; And the way he's been treated by show (you know they'd never pull that "Coach ticket back home" crap with anyone else) is just shameful--I sometimes wonder how they sleep at night. Simon's beard has apparently already been on TV insulting him just since the show went off tonight.

01. Bo ("For Love of Money") (Well, it's not his best but definitely in my top 3 favorite performances from him)
02. Anthony ("I'm Already There") (After the awful "Poison Ivy" performance last week, this one makes up for it. Easily his best.)
03. Anthony ("If You Don't Know Me By Now") (Better than Carrie's. He had a good night tonight. He'll be in the Top 3)
04. Carrie ("Sin Wagon") (Very good but I concur with Daniel that Amy Adams's version was better)
05. Vonzell ("Don't Leave Me This Way") (Far from being her best performance. Her infectious energy makes up for it.)
06. Bo ("Great Day to Be Alive") (Overall merely okay. His second worst performance behind "Corner of the Sky" debacle)
07. Carrie ("If You Don't Know Me By Now") (Anthony's version was better. Dull performance.)
08. Vonzell ("How Do I Live") (She was pretty good in the last 10 seconds but that does not make up for the dismal beginning and middle).

1. Anthony, "I'm Already There" (This was his best night easily. It'd be a shame to see him voted off after doing so well tonight; especially with the trainwrecks from Vonzell and Carrie.)
2. Bo, "For Love of Money" (Not his best like Paula thought, but really good.)
3. Anthony, "If You Don't Know Me By Now" (Carrie got her ass handed to her.)
(Ruben Studdard sized gap.)
4. Bo, "Great Day To Be Alive" (<----See Eric. Below the gap. Travis Tritt has better songs than this. But so do plenty of other counry singers.)
5. Carrie, "Sin Wagon" (Amy Adams was so much better on this.)
6. Vonzell, "Don't Leave Me This Way" (Vocally, it's only a little better than "How Do I Live", but the liveliness of the performance counted for something.)
7. Carrie, "If You Don't Know Me By Now" (To avoid criticizing Carrie too much, Simon blamed the band. And then called Anthony soulless. Carrie's the one with no soul.)
(Galaxies. Light years.)
8. Vonzell, "How Do I Live" (By a mile, the worst performance since auditions ended. One of the worst in the history of the series. This performance had no redemming value at all. Just totally awful from start to finish. Not once was she in the same key as the band.)

if more people were turned off by Scott's attitude than won over by it, say 'bye-bye'.

my sentiments exactly. He was horribly obnoxious.

I voted again for cutie Anthony.

Hmm... Lacan probably has something to say about you hating Vonzell and me hating Bo.

"Whipping Post" is a reason to like Bo. Three more: He's not a singing zombie (unlike Carrie), he doesn't sing the cheesiest songs in music history (unlike Anthony), and he can stay on key during an entire song (unlike Vonzell).

Glad Scott was gone tonight. Poor guy should've learned from Anthony though that being sent to the couch didn't mean he was safe. Hope Vonzell goes next week. (If anything though, last night Randy was trying to set her up for the third spot.) I'm really starting to dislike her, especially since some people have (inexplicably) called her the best vocalist in the competition. Not by a long shot.

Oh and after watching most of ABC's "shocking" expose: Paula Abdul should sue. ABC seems to have turned into one of those detective/gossip magazines, trotting out phone records (multiple calls from Hollywood, that we're to believe are from Paula, even though there's obviously no way to verify that without seeing numbers) and bottles of cough syrup that anyone could've taken out of her trash can. It's a new low for these investigative news shows. They missed the really interesting thing they should've investigated about the show: The voting process. How it really works, and if it's "fixed", as some people claim. And how the judges pimp the chosen favorite.
