Penelope, I've never seen Falcon Crest so I don't know what to think. Which for this board is normal, I guess.

I think it's great though that there is a character whose last name is ACTUALLY "Cum-son" (only on soaps) and that this lovely appellation is given to Flipp :p

Love it! I think I'm probably Paige Matheson if we do Knots Landing though.

You know, I'm sensing a great lack of understanding for the characters listed here. Samwise Gamgee was the underdog. He wasn't a pansy. He was the bravest person in middle earth. He was loyal, loving and quiet, but it was he who kept Frodo going. There are many who consider Sam the main character of the stories, not Frodo.

And Saruman was not a complete figure of evil...but the movies couldn't prove that. Saruman's flaw was that he used the Palantir without regard to its origin. Sauron used that conduit as a way to gain control over him, thus why Saruman did what he did. And in the book, even after Sauron had been vanquished, some remnants remained as he waltzed into the Shire to destroy it.

Grima Wormtongue was a henchman of Saruman who had been controlled by the white wizard and did his bidding in Rohan. However, in the book (and in the Extended of the movie), Saruman's cruelty and abuse of his faithful servant led him to finally betray him and cause his death.

Gollum was a pitiable creature. The ring, also a conduit for the evils of Sauron, corrupted him because he possessed it for so long. It had fractured his pscyhe and thus his eternal two-sided mental battle. However, living with so much evil had broken it beyond repair, so when faced with the opportunity to retrieve his beloved "precious", he did himself in.

Now, I'm not saying this to poo poo your list FF, I think it was a great idea (I'm a fan of Middle Earth, after all), but I think the best casting for those roles would be:

Sauron - Dick Cheney
Saruman - George Bush
Grima Wormtongue - Condaleeza Rice
Gollum - Still Criddic...it's just so perfect a fit. :)

You made me the pretty elf who does some of the coolest stunts. I'm not complaining :)

I'm not sure that Sabin -- who has big brass ones -- fits for Sam though, since Sam is a pussy and all. But the gayish connection to Sonic makes sense.

And criddic as Gollum has to be. The. Best. Thing. Ever.

As I said, I wasn't thinking about the evil sides of characters...you because you are the overseer of our world (and going back, the reason we are all here), Italiano as the perfect foil for Damien's Gandalf and Eric...well, that just seemed to fit.

Why is it that the only three Evil characters you pick happen to go to me, Italiano and Eric?

Who's the Flaming Vagina?
We would need to find a female board member first...Pamela-Marie?

The strange cousin no one talks about? (Two posts and not one mention of anonymous!)
You can be the cousin who offers to sit at the children's table when the grown-ups' table gets too crowded. :p

I'm so sorry I missed that. I'm assuming -- since it's THIS board -- gay porn?

I don't know half of those words, but no I'm not!
Sabin, Chase was the idealist of Tuscany Valley, always battling against evil and corruption, locking horns with Angela and Richard, and rolling his eyes at the simpleton Emma. That is so you; of course, you're still a pup, and Chase was a daddy (growl).

A quick refresher

Eric can be Greg Reardon (Simon MacCorkindale); anonymous can be Pamela Lynch (Sarah Douglas).

well, you are anonymous, after all?

Though, I'm actually surprised that no one said that Eric was the black sheep of the family... :)
