The people who appear on those shows are supposed to be well versed in trivia. They have to pass a test with similar questions on a wide range of topics including movies in order to qualify. I didn't catch the beginning of the show so I don't know how old they were but they looked like grad students in their 20s to me.

Keenan Wynn was around in the 50s and 70s and Milton Berle was big in the 50s so those responses at least show some thought, but Rodney freakin' Dangerfield?

I'm more surprised at a 19-year-old pulling Keenan Wynn out of his or her hat.

But why would we expect three 19 year olds to know such arcane trivia?
"What the hell?"

I just caught the end of an episode of Jeopardy in which three contestants, apparently college students, were given the following question:

What screen legend won his only competitive Oscar in 1972 for a score he wrote for a 1952 film in which he starred as a washed up comic?

1st moron's answer: Rodney Dangerfield

2nd moron's answer: Keenan Wynn

3rd moron's answer: Milton Berle
