Spead reading, I guess. I did miss that these were only best picture nominees.

The Cries of Silence (a nominee from the 80's) - Missing
Caught up and without any way out (An actual winner BUT from the 70's) - The French Connection
Two weird lovers (another winner from the 70's) - Annie Hall
Return without glory (a nominee from the 70's) - Bound for Glory
The War of the Galaxies (the ultimate easy one) - Star Wars
Red Phone: Are we flying to Moscow? (an almost impossible one from the 60's) - Dr. Strangelove
Smiles and Tears (as Magilla said, far too removed from its original, but as a hint is the winner of the following year)... - The Sound of Music

In that case, I change my guesses for the following:

All or Nothing: the Full Monty

Chiaroscuro: the Insider

In the Search of Destiny: Good Will Hunting

a Love's Shadow: the Cider House Rules

Unexpected Miracles: Awakenings

Violent Times: Pulp Fiction

and I will disagree with Magilla's guess for Dangerous Game. How about the Crying Game instead?

I'm not going to try the bonus ones...yet...

Besides the original 33, I'll add these titles as a bonus:
- The Cries of Silence (a nominee from the 80's)
- Caught up and without any way out (An actual winner BUT from the 70's)
- Two weird lovers (another winner from the 70's)
- Return without glory (a nominee from the 70's)
- The War of the Galaxies (the ultimate easy one)
- Red Phone: Are we flying to Moscow? (an almost impossible one from the 60's)
- Smiles and Tears (as Magilla said, far too removed from its original, but as a hint is the winner of the following year)...

Let's see who gets more point out of the possible 40. As a side note, here Jaws was simply called Shark...

Wes, you are right about TWBB... and Magilla, as I told, the list only contains best picture nominees and winners so... Mission Impossible? Lorenzo's Oil?

And about hints, here are some:
1. There are: 1 film from 1980, 1 from '83, 1 from '85, 1 from '86, 2 from '87, 1 from '88, 1 from 1990, 1 from '91, 3 from '92, 3 from '94, 2 from '96, 4 from '97, 2 from '99, 1 from 2000, 1 from '01, 2 from '03, 1 from '04, 1 from '05, 1 from '06 and 3 from '07
2. There are 7 winners of Best Picture

As for the alphabetical list with the original titles... that will come later...

Magilla, I think you missed the part where HarryGoldfarb said these were all Best Picture nominees and winners, which caused your Bloody Oil misstep. Better: Impossible is possibly As Good As It Gets (which was titled "Mr. Cat Poop" in Hong Kong, I believe).

Some guesses:

- All or Nothing

Million Dollar Baby?

- Chiaroscuro

Good Night, and Good Luck?

- The Dilemma

the English Patient?

- Dream of Escape

the Shawshank Redemption?

- The End of the Game

Quiz Show?

- Executive Secretary

Working Girl?

- I will love you in silence

Children of a Lesser God?

- In Between Drinks

Sideways?

- In the Search of Destiny

Finding Neverland?

- A Love's Shadow

Fatal Attraction?

- The Moles

the Departed?

- People like us

Ordinary People?

- The Rules of Life

Scent of a Woman?

- The Strength of Affection

Terms of Endearment?

- Secret on the Mountain

Brokeback Mountain?

- Unexpected Miracles

Field of Dreams?

- Violent Times

Gangs of New York?

I'm guessing these translate as follows:

Africa of Mine - Out of Africa
Atonement: Desire & Sin - Atonement
Behind the News - Broadcast News
Better: Impossible - Mission: Impossible
Bloody Oil - Lorenzo's Oil
A Bright Mind - A Beautiful Mind
Captain of Sea and War: The Farest Shore of the World - Master and Commadner: The Far Side of the World
Charm of Moon - Moonstruck
The Dangerous Game - Dangerous Liaisons
Jerry Maguire: Love & Challenge - Jerry Maguire
LA in the nude - L.A. Confidential
Lost in Tokyo - Lost in Translation
A Matter of Honour - A Few Good Men
No Place for Weak Men - No Country for Old Men
The Silence of the Innocents - The Silence of the Lambs
The Tiger and the Dragon - Crouching Tiger, Hiddeen Dragon

The rest are too far removed from their original titles, they could be anything. If you gave us an alphabetical list of the titles in English I could probably do a decent match job, but this is the best I can do without hints.

This might be shameful but here in latinamerica distrubutors use to "adapt" the title of a film in order to sell it in an easier way. According to them, some titles doesn't translate so well in comercial terms so the come up with some weird titles (come weirder than others) and well... here it is an example: This list contains titles from best picture nominees and winners from the 80's, 90's and 2000's. Some titles are quite obvious but some other don't... I guess some of them are not goin' to be match up with its original! Not even here and that's not a bad thing... you'll be amazed in the end... LOL

- Africa of Mine
- All or Nothing
- Atonement: Desire & Sin
- Behind the News
- Better: Impossible
- Bloody Oil
- A Bright Mind
- Captain of Sea and War: The Farest Shore of the World
- Charm of Moon
- Chiaroscuro
- The Dangerous Game
- The Dilemma
- Dream of Escape
- The End of the Game
- Executive Secretary
- I will love you in silence
- In Between Drinks
- In the Search of Destiny
- Jerry Maguire: Love & Challenge
- LA in the nude
- A Love's Shadow
- Lost in Tokyo
- A Matter of Honour
- No Place for Weak Men
- The Moles
- People like us
- The Rules of Life
- The Silence of the Innocents
- The Strenght of Affection
- The Tiger and the Dragon
- Secret on the Mountain
- Unexpected Miracles
- Violent Times

By the way: Hustler... No hagas trampa!
