Little Miss Sunshine's terrible, obnoxious script is one of my least favourite winners of an Oscar ever, making even Crash look like a model of structure and character.
I voted for the wonderful Gosford Park. Talk to Her is a close runner-up; Almost Famous, Juno, Milk and The Hurt Locker are all fine winners also. I could certainly do without the rest.

Usually a stronger crop of nominees than those for Best Picture, and with a couple exceptions stronger winners than the Best Pictures. The winners from the first half of the decade are all fine films. I think Almost Famous and Lost in Translation aren't exactly structural paradigms, but they thrive on the personalities of their directors, as does Gosford Park. I think Talk to Her is a masterpiece but Eternal Sunshine... is something else. My three favorite nominees of the decade are Eternal Sunshine..., Memento, and The Royal Tenenbaums. All three are very important to me and Eternal Sunshine... is the only winner. I go for Charlie Kaufman.
