I honestly think that Chicago is The Dark Knight's to lose. The production brought so much money into the city and Roger Ebert just about wet himself with joy over the movie. This is the one critics prize that I can't see not going to Batman.
On another note, I was looking over the past winners of Chicago and noticed that they have a tremendous track record for picking the eventual Best Picture winner. Every year since 2001, either the Best Picture or Best Director winner has gone on to win the Best Picture Oscar, with the exception of 2002 winner... uh... Chicago (kind of ironic). In 2004, Million Dollar Baby didn't win Best Picture, but Clint Eastwood won Best Director. They even went for Crash over Brokeback Mountain.

"Young men make wars and the virtues of war are the virtues of young men: courage and hope for the future. Then old men make the peace, and the vices of peace are the vices of old men: mistrust and caution." -- Alec Guinness (Lawrence of Arabia)
