happy birthday -- even though 21 is nauseatingly young to the old and crippled like myself.
i'm excited about seeing the jesse james movie, but fear i'll have to put it off till after i've quit the pain-killers. i'm finding even inspector lynley mysteries a bit taxing through the fog of oxycodone; two hours & 40 of an art film is way beyond my capacity just now

My birthday present this weekend was the release of The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, a rather astonishingly terrific picture I can't wait for the rest of the board to see. I hope to write a more detailed review when I have time (which means it may not come until the weekend, or at least later in the week), but on the whole, I thought it was pretty wonderful.
