FYI, I've heard "You Know My Name" and it is no good.
The problem with Casino Royale's songs is that Oscar hasn't been too kind to Bond theme songs. Only three have been nominated out of the more than 30 years worth of songs made throughout the years: "Live and Let Die", "Nobody Does It Better" and "For Your Eyes Only" (Four if you count "The Look of Love" from the original Casino Royale).
"Goldfinger" wasn't even nominated for crap's sake.

Yep, by Melissa Ethridge. It even had VH-1 and MTV air time (whenever it was they actually played music videos). Even found the name of one of the four new songs for Dreamgirls called "Listen" (there's a review of it at Rotten Tomatoes).

Dreamgirls has, I believe, 4 new songs. There's a ballas which I would think is pretty much a lock for a nomination, and also an upbeat ersatz soul song that could also easily make it in.
An Inconvenient Truth had a song???
"Y'know, that's one of the things I like about Mitt Romney. He's been consistent since he changed his mind." -- Christine O'Donnell
Okay, I couldn't take it any longer, so I looked up every film I could, checked out their soundtracks and made a list of every song that I thought was original or knew to be original just to get a good idea of what could be potential contenders this year. Some movies haven't even listed the songs from their movies yet (For Your Consideration, Dreamgirls, etc), but stand to have pretty good chances at earning nominations. So here it the list comprised of potential best song nominees (pretty boring so far, but the year is still young)
