That's it.

OK, Hustler is at another film festival, but where is everyone else?

Group 1: Henrietta Crosman in Pilgrimage is added to Best Actress.

Group 2: Wild Boys of the Road is added to Cinematography.

Group3: Little Women replaces A Farewell to Arms in Art Direction.

I didn't catch that in 1934. 1933 would seem to be the correct year for Oscar eligibility as the film apparently opened in L.A. in Decmeber, 1933 but not in New York until January, 1934. However, we can't have it both ways, so out it goes.

You already nominated this film in 1934...do you want to do something else?
Huh. I see that I did. So this film wasn't Oscar-eligible until 1934? Why do I have it in my records as a '33 movie?

I will preserve A Farewell to Arms in Cinematography instead.

Oh, you are right! Silly me. I meant Mamoulian, though I also was considering Trouble in Paradise so maybe that's where my dyslexia set in.

1. Add Ernst Lubitsch to Best Director for Love Me Tonight.

2. Replace Rasputin and the Empress in Best Original Story with Sons of the Desert, by Frank Craven.

3. I hate to remove the perfectly-deserving Gold Diggers from Sound Recording. But M's soundtrack was revolutionary, so in it goes.

Looking at this year, there is quite a bit I want to do. I'll rely that some others are going to hone in on the major omissions here.

GROUP 1: Preserve the wonderful May Robson in Lady for a Day

GROUP 2: Preserve the screenplay to the lovely, underrated One Way Passage

GROUP 3: Replace art direction of Cavalcade with Trouble in Paradise

It's been three days. Rain Bard is not responding to PMs. Where has everyone gone?

Oscar Guy is up next.
