R.I.P. Jack Kilpatrick

I don't have a obit to link -- only saw it in the print version of the Times -- and he's not a favorite of mine or probably many here, for his right-wing (early on, segregationist) views. But it seems worth noting that Jack Kilpatrick has died. Kilpatrick was a syndicated conservative columnist, who came to his greatest notoriety for spirited debates on 60 Minutes with Shana Alexander -- a long-running segment that may be best remembered for inspiring the Dan Aykroyd/Jane Curtin send-up, where Aykroyd's frequent rejoinder was "Jane, you ignorant slut".

As I say, not a favorite, but (almost) everyone gets a moment of respect when he or she passes on.
