The Tallies are up for 1948. We had a record 27 films scoring 5 mentions or more.

Portrait of Jennie leads our recommendations with 14 mentions, followed by Red River and The Red Shoes with 13 each; Johnny Belinda with 12; Enchantment, Fort Apache and Hamlet with 11 each; Joan of Arc with 9; Key Largo and The Treasure of the Sierra Madre with 8 each; Easter Parade and Letter From an Unknown Woman with 7 each; A Foreign Affair, Deams That Money Can Buy, Drunken Angel, Germany Year Zero, I Remember Mama, Macbeth, Pitfall, The Pirate, The Search and The Snake Pit with 6 each and Anna Karenina, Oliver Twist, The Bicycle Thief, The Boy With Green Hair and The Fallen Idol with 5 each.

In all there was a total of 275 votes cast for 65 different films.

OK, but most of the songs were Irving Berlin standards. Only "A Couple of Swells" and "Steppin' Out With My Baby" were new so if you want to change it you can.
Let´s go with The Emperor Waltz
