Amy definitely has some steam, but Cate not only has major buzz she played gave an even cooler characterization this time than Hepburn. And don't you see a lot of older members simply voting for The Dylan anyway? Besides, if Oscar reward actors with a second they usually wait at least 3 years and i...

I just saw ''American Gangster''. Ruby Dee was cute, but i think she wouldn't have got a nomination if she didn't say the line 'She'll leave you. I'll leave you.' Denzel was terrific as always. Ruby, along with late husband Ossie Davis, did win the SAG's lifetime achievement award a few years back ...

Hi guys! Sorry for joining the discussion late. Few things: it's funny how some are proclaiming that the SAG did not vote for Atonement/Todd because they didn't see them, but since it's safe to assume that what often takes home the Actor is a film/performance that IS widely seen, can't the same be ...

Personally, I wouldn't thank God in my acceptance speech except maybe thanking Him for the people who supported me to get there or saying 'God bless you' or something like that. But I can't believe Jennifer Hudson is getting a bulk of the criticism of thanking God in her acceptance speech but no on...

I expected Barraza to win. Even though, Hudson´s victory didn´t bother me. How so? I bet she came in 5th place. Even the previously honored Cate Blanchett probably got more votes than her. Hmm. Based on the applause last night, I'd bet Barraza came in 2nd or 3rd on the ballot. You can't always go o...

Oh come on Akash! Without the inch of makeup on her, she looks suspiciously like a man. Perhaps a transvestite. How people continue to find her "hot" or "sexy" is a little mystifying to me. She can sing, but if she had to hold her own against Hudson (basically, what the Oscars a...

Jennifer deserved her award. The fiery emotion she displayed during AIATY was enough to shut down the competition this year. Even with Murphy losing I knew they couldn't possibly pass her up.

I told you guys this would happen. Beyonce's exclusion from the cliched Listen, along with the other 2 DG nominees for Best Song, severely hurt its chances. With no big name attached to Listen, Melissa Etheridge by default won as I predicted since she was the most famous nominee. Brokeback's anti-g...

Is it true that Eddie Murphy left after Alan Arkin won? I don't remember seeing him in the audience after that award, but I wasn't really looking for him either. I don't know, but this had to hit Eddie hard. It may not have cost him the Oscar, but I really think he should have pushed back the relea...

Great speech! Did you all see the look of great awe in Leo's eyes?

I wished he would have at least mentioned O'Toole. The old guy deserves something for coming up and losing again.

The love for Marty drove it all the way after all(even if he wasn't one of the film's producers). Speaking of producers, I bet Brad Pitt is pissed he was exluded from the nominees.
