I don't hate her for being fat. I hate her for being a child. Breslin I mean, not Hudson. Yeah, two years of happy marriage with a wonderful guy and settling down and everything, and I still can't stand children.

Really? Many real liberals and liberal publications would disagree with you. And anyway, even without Lewinsky, the fact is he DID bomb Iraq. And we should never forget it. All of these major players are equally as war-mongering and dismissive of human life (Bush, Cheney, McCain, Kerry, Clinton, Go...

Not obvious enough for me. I'll happily vote against the candidate who said he'd be willing to invade Pakistan. And Hillary won't? Given all her other war mongering traits? Get real Sonic! If it came to that and she had to earn another four years in the White House, she'd do it. Just like she voted...

Chris Cooper is a close second but Freeman's lifetime of wonderful work (even in shit like Shawshank) and his beautiful Greek chorus in Million Dollar Baby, wins my vote here.

What the hell is everyone's problem with poor Jennifer Connelly?? No, even she can't save A Beautiful Mind, but girl's a lovely actress. And Josh, last time I was here (eons ago) you were beating off to Jennifer Connelly, weren't you??

Damien, my parents once met Buckley in London, at a dinner with a friend from Oxford, and they said he was one of the most contemptible, arrogant creatures they'd ever met. I grew up hearing how awful his politics were, so I was puzzled too when so many liberals seemed to be separating him from Cou...

Shakespeare in Love, Return of the King, The Departed, and No Country for Old Men are all terrific winners, but I'm still moved every time I see Million Dollar Baby. Eastwood achieves the elegiac in an unlikely place and his sure, steady hand is a thing of beauty despite Paul Haggis' conservative t...

The Dame. She steals every scene she's in during a delightful, witty film.

Wow Wes, I have no idea what to say in response. LOL. Rewarding Polanski for "The Pianist" was a wonderfully deserving tribute to a brilliant career. In the end though, I have to go with Scorsese. Ang Lee's competent but unspectacular direction of "Brokeback" shouldn't be leadin...

Agreed Damien. As a matter of fact, even A Beautiful Mind and American Beauty are worse than Crash. I will never understand how Gladiator was even nominated. Let alone generate some positive reviews.

We must have another phone convo soon Damien, so I can tell you why I'm right :) I'll try to call you again this week. I can't take credit for "Kashy", but it's a cute enough nickname. And by the way, I hate "Nikki", so please let's let it end there. LOL. Even though I hate them...

I totally believe the Anglican Church had something to do with "Princess" Diana's death. So yeah, her comments are silly but kind of endearing.

Easily Angelina Jolie. Especially for beating out FOUR BETTER nominees: Toni Collete, Samantha Morton, Catherine Keener and - the true winner that year - Chloe Sevigny.

Eat gigantic elephant poop Angie.

LOL. I voted for Swank too. Aside from Helen Mirren, Swank is so much better than the rest of the competition, it's not even a fair race. She's a regular athlete in the "Special Olympics" here.

Count me in on Crowe. This one should have been an easy call.
