Hmmm. That's interesting. Two people more people have now voted, which drops the tie from four to two - Jane Fonda and Diane Keaton.

There's a four-way tie on this one between Katharine Hepburn; Jane Fonda; Sissy Spacek and Diane Keaton so unless someone else break the tie I am going to have give up my lone vote for Ellen Burstyn and do it myself.

Best Actress 1968-1977

We honored Katharine Hepburn for the sixth and final time in our initial polling and she's great as usual in The Lion in winter, but there were new actresses now whose performances were consistently at her level in this decade - Woodward, Jackson, Fonda, Burstyn, Spacek - only one of whom, Burstyn, is acting at the same level today albeit mostly on television. She easily gets my vote here.
