GoodFellas and Godfather 3 are both pretty good. The others aren't. The Coppola has a lot more subtext than the ridiculously overrated Scorsese (this ain't no masterpiece) so I voted Godfather 3 (which is so much better than the absurdly over-praised Godfather 2 -- which somehow became a Paulette wet dream).

I hope my award mentions and comparisons aren't bothering you Sabin. I do them for fun and I like sharing them with movie-minded people. It is a slightly kooky thing I do I suppose, but it makes movie-watching more enjoyable.

You don't #### around with these Criddic Awards, do you? I seriously feel like I see them on every other thread.
'Goodfellas' and radio silence for the runner up. Either that or a composite of the best of Coppola's compromised third outing with some of the emotional heft from 'Awakenings'.

"How's the despair?"
Awakenings was a lovely film, with powerful performances by Robin Williams and Robert De Niro.
Criddic Awards:
GoodFellas won director for Martin Scorsese and editing.
Dances With Wolves won score and cinematography.
Some good films here, but not a great year for movies.
