That's what I thought.
A lot of critics were complaining that it was just a big long form music video. So my contention that Lloyd Webber doesn't make dialogue sections of his plays very often that the long form music video style was perfect for one of his musicals.

It's been 27 years since I saw it, but I recall very little dialogue. Just a few asides between songs perhaps, but no extended spoken sequences.
