My Afternoon with David Sedaris

He came to Manila for a book signing tour. I attended one of them and he gave a 1 hour reading of some of his stuff interspersed with hilarious anecdotes about his trip here and an open forum where a couple of people got to ask questions.

I brought my copy of Me Talk Pretty One Day. There were about 200 people in the event and lining up for a signing takes a while because David likes to have a brief chat with people as he is signing the books. I sat there trying to think of something funny to say to him like "I love reading your books whenever I go to the bathroom" or "You're not as pretty as your sister, Amy" to try to make him laugh and have him remember me. But, alas, I was too chicken. When it was my turn, I let him do most of the talking and I shook his hand.
