I think it is a wonderful choice, although since Emmanuel is my congressman, I am sorry to lose him. I hope that a good successor is chosen.

Rahm is in the firm tradition of "Every president needs a son of a bitch". It tells me Obama is playing this presidency for keeps, about which I'm delighted.

Rahm also has a nearly perfect profile for this job: experience on the White House staff, experience in running Congress, and a Chicago connection.

I assume everyone already knows that Rahm's brother Ari is the model for Jeremy Piven's character on Entourage?
