I don't remember who used to post these, but I'm surprised they haven't gone up yet. Here are the winners so far.

Although I seriously doubt all six prizes will go to Americans, can someone with a knowledge of these things say how frequently three of the prizes go to a specific country's citizens?

Monday: Medicine - Work on how chromosomes are protected against degradation: Three Americans. http://www.cnn.com/2009....STCText

Tuesday: Physics - Work on digital device technology: Three Americans (one British/American, one Canadian/American). http://www.cnn.com/2009....STCText

Wednesday: Chemistry - Work on the Ribosome: Two Americans and one Isreali. http://www.cnn.com/2009....STCText

Thursday: Literature - German Writer Herta Mueller. http://www.cnn.com/2009....ssearch

Friday: Peace - Extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples. American President Barack Obama. http://www.cnn.com/2009....ex.html

Monday: Economics - 2 Americans. http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/europe/10/12/nobel.economics/index.html

That makes 5 of the 6 prizes going to Americans or US Citizens.
