Wanda Sykes and Hillary Duff are so gay! - As in "fabulous"!

Whether they are behind the camera or in front of it, this is the place to discuss all filmmakers regardless of their role in the filmmaking process.

Nice. I hear a lot of that on the Internet, especially in online games. I also hear that from people I game with locally. It is irritating...although they never get it, I generally always respond "so it's a cool, happy thing, right?"

Most of these kids don't realize what their saying. It became a popular catch phrase and many of my close friends have used it in the past. After I explain how offensive it is and why it's offensive, they fully understand what it means and generally stop saying it, though, since it's habit usually, I have to correct them a few times before they stop altogether.

The Ad Council and GLSEN have teamed up for a campaign, ThinkB4YouSpeak, intended to educate young people about homophobic language and its consequences. To that end, they've enlisted Wanda Sykes and Hillary Duff to appear in two PSAs that draw attention to the phrase "that's so gay" and its interpretations.

The campaign will utilize print, internet, and radio, and television spots. See 3 of the ads (1 print, 2 TV) here.
