Legend is indeed the only word that fits. To achieve such levels, and to stick around so long -- an inspiration.

Luck enough to see her in Chicago, Kiss of the Spider Woman, and the Nine revival. A pro's pro.

Talk about a legend! I saw her perform a cabaret act in a small San Francisco club about 7 years ago. We sat in the front row. She was amazing: one of those veteran performers who could put on a great show in her sleep. Her legs still looked great in her 80s. I was in heaven.

A great one.

The Broadway legend who appeared occasionally in films was 91.
