Independent of politics, she was one of the most decent people ever to live in the White House.

Rosalynn Carter had this gentle voice and demeanor, which belied the fact that she was a powerhouse. She and Jimmy were as much a partnership in both politics and life as I’ve ever witnessed. It’s hard to imagine that Jimmy won’t follow close behind her.

Rest in peace, Ms. Rosalynn.

She was 96. I'll defer to others on this board who have memories of her in office. Everything I've read of her sounds like a true class act.
