I can't expend the effort to find ten movies this year.

General feeling: if any group is likely to pick The Fabelmans, it's this one. I also feel like this is Deadwyler's strongest turf, and, if I had to pick a best actor, I'd go with Austin Butler. (This is a group that loves it some Warner Brothers.) Beyond that, it's really hard to care.

My eyes have been a concern this year. I thought that may have been the cause!

I went to an ophthalmologist for the first time in 6 1/2 years in June. They couldn't get a reading in my right eye for which I wanted a prescription, not needing one for my left eye since the successful cataract surgery in that eye eight years ago. Long story short, he sent me to a retina specialist for an emergency operation for scarring in the back of the eye that the retina specialist said he would perform if I wanted him to, but that if I didn't have any day-to-day issues to wait 6 months and see him for a re-evaluation. Saw him today, same diagnosis. What I don't understand is why I could see the chart in the retina specialist's office (20/70) in that eye but couldn't in the ophthalmologist's office. The retina specialist said could be different on another day, but I got the same reading in September at the ophthalmologist's that I got in June whereas I could read the charts at the retina specialist's on both visits (20/50 the last time). Maybe I should see a different ophthalmologist.

This time the specialist was more emphatic, strongly recommending against surgery which I told him was very good advice.
