I agreed with Penn for Milk, Firth for The King's Speech, and Affleck for Manchester by the Sea. I think the underrated Affleck was best.

George Clooney should have won for 2009's Up in the Air over Bridges for Crazy Heart.

Gary Oldman should have won for 2011's Tinker Tailor Solider Spy over Dujardin's Artist.

Jean-Louis Trintignant should have won for 2012's Amour over Day-Lewis' Lincoln, the first of his three wins I didn't agree with.

Chiwetel Ejiofor should have won for 2013's 12 Years a Slave over McConnaughay's Dallas Buyers Club.

Brendan Gleeson should have been nominated and won for 2014's Calvary over Eddie Redmayne's Theory of Everything.

Matt Damon should have won for 2015's The Martian over Leonardo DiCaprio who shouldn't have been nominated for The Revenant.

Timothée Chalamet should have won for Call Me by Your Name over Oldman's Darkest Hour.

I am surprised and delighted to see that so far Affleck is winning this.
