He had an impressive TV career before directing The Omen and Superman, but not much after it. I did like the first three Lethal Weapon movies but the fourth was horrible. Inside Moves and Ladyhawke were OK, but most of his other films weren't. I tried to watch The Goonies a couple of times but gave up.
