Re: National Society of Film Critics
Don't know if it's the limitations of the year or just an ongoing bland-ization of the National Society, but this is far from the iconoclastic slate the group was founded to promote. Other than Bakalova, the acting slate of winners could without objection carry over to the Oscars (with close second-place Seyfried an easy substitute).
Conversely, as far as best film: I can't speak to Nomadland, but none of the other finishers would get within a country mile of the Oscars in a normal year -- Small Axe for simple reasons of qualification.

Paul Raci doesn't even have a wikipedia page.flipp525 wrote
I like how much Paul Raci is being highlighted in the pre-cursors. I found his performance so moving. I’ve also seen Olivia Cooke popping up. She was quite good as well.
Best Supporting Actor has never really had a frontrunner throughout this season and I think Raci would be a lovely winner.
