For the past five years, they usually pick 6 or 7 of the eventual nominees. Last year, they had 5 plus a special award for Roma.
If six of these make the cut, it'll probably be The Irishman, Jojo Rabbit, Marriage Story, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Parasite, and Little Women or 1917. If it's seven, then both Little Women and 1917.
Or maybe Joker sneaks in.
