This was certainly unexpected. I've always been partial to Hauer's Paul Verhoeven films from the 1970s which helped launch both their Hollywood careers. His performance in Turkish delight in particular was more than Oscar worthy. Of course his performance in Blade Runner is and deservedly so iconic.
