Toxic Environment Ends Now

We come here to Oscar Guy's Unofficial Academy Awards Discussion Board, many of us for more than twenty years now, to discuss films and related topics. We are like a large, mostly happy family.
We sometimes get annoyed with one another the way members of large families do, but in the past we generally got over our differences in reasonably short order. Lately, though, there have been too many topic threads highjacked by personal attacks, some of which start out as "funny" jibes but end up as little wars that go on and on. That stops here and now.
Effective immediately, any untoward comments, indeed any comments in any thread that do not relate to the topic at hand will be deleted by Oscar Guy or me just as they would be on any other message board or blog.
In addition, any comments that hint at personal antagonism, debate baiting or character assassination will be removed with or without warning as will any comments that appear to be racist, sexist or homophobic in nature.
