Corbet's The Childhood of a Leader kind of gave me a "what the hell was that?" reaction, but it was one of the most ambitious debuts I've seen in ages. Definitely a filmmaker I'll be watching.

Not sure what to make of this. Lots of early tweets were asking "What the hell was that?", but these reviews are uniformly strong, especially for Portman.
Currently without a distributor, and thus not on the 2018 calendar, but these reactions might change that.
