Lots of general enthusiasm for the film, but the Gleib has his reservations. (Screen Daily wasn't available when I posted; will follow up when it arrives. ON EDIT: Should have waited five minutes; it's added.)
Looking at all the reactions tweeted out, Gleiberman is very much the outlier. Doesn't mean he's wrong, but the general take is in great/masterpiece territory.
Word is also VERY strong for The Favourite, but that's embargoed till later this afternoon. Seems like Venice is taking this year's race from zero to ten.
