No more submitting or revising of the lists. All your lists have been copied and saved. You're stuck with what you've got.
I've just learned what the no. 1 movie is (but I'll keep you in suspense). The list should be coming soon.
And I don't know what to do about a Roger Ebert contests. It's pretty late, he hasn't seen as many movies this year, and his illness makes this less fun for me.

I don't want to tell anyone what to do, because if my suggestion backfires I'll feel bad. But here's the thing. I can't say Travers NEVER has three star movies in his list, but it hasn't happened to my knowledge.
And Hustler, it might help if you actually read his reviews, or at least glanced at his star ratings, rather than choose blindly. He gave a terrible review to one of those films on your list.

Keep those submissions coming.
My ballot:
1. Babel
"Leaves you shattered. It's impossible to shake."
2. The Departed
"Pins you to your seat. Scorsese strives passionately to make movies that matter. "
3. United 93
"There's not an ounce of Hollywood bull in this movie's 111 minutes."
4. Borat
"Sets off comic and cosmic explosions in your head. You won't know what outrageous fun is until you see Borat."
5. Flags of Our Fathers/Letters from Iwo Jima
"Iwo Jima won't be out till February, but one thing is for damn sure: Eastwood will do it his way. As far as I'm concerned, that's the gold standard."
6. Children of Men
Vacuous quote forthcoming.
7. The Queen
8. Dreamgirls
"He keeps Dreamgirls charging until it moves right into your heart."
9. Volver
"Volver, a movie that leaps off the screen to take its place in your dreams."
10. Miami Vice
"The price of a ticket still buys you one terrific movie."
12/11 - Removed Apocalypto; put The Queen in no. 7.

...or he could wildly revise his opinion of the Estevez film just for the hilarity that would ensue from his tying Babel, Bubble, Borat and Bobby.Sabin wrote:The more I think about it, Travers could very easily tie 'Babel' and 'Borat' for first place with some bullshit rationale of "[these two] movies have more to say about how we live our lives and connect to the world thana ny other."
