I find it quite interesting to look at television ratings these days. When I was in high school and college, I used to look at the Nielsens weekly. The focus then was on the actual rating, not the number of viewers. That has since changed and why? The number of millions of viewers sounds better. When shows are described as having solid numbers with ratings from 3.0 to 5.0, 9 million viewers sounds better. Decent numbers when I first started looking at ratings were 10.0 to 12.0 with over 20.00 being outstanding. Times have changed.
