She didn't have much of a film career, but she really knocked it out the park with the Broadway version of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.

The Dolly Parton-Burt Reynolds film version doesn't hold a candle to the Broadway cast recording with Glynn and Henderson Forsyth, both of whom should have been allowed to repeat their stage roles on film. Next to Angela Lansbury and Richard Kiley not being allowed to reprise their stage roles in Mame and Man of La Mancha respectively, this remains my least favorite recasting of Broadway roles for the screen.
