R.I.P. Stella Stevens

Whether they are behind the camera or in front of it, this is the place to discuss all filmmakers regardless of their role in the filmmaking process.

I sent her a bunch of clippings and photos to be signed. She signed them all but on the nude Playboy Playmate photo was a note that said "I do not sign these".

She was memorable in The Ballad of Cable Hogue & The Poseidon Adventure.

Another one who I guess hasn't been famous for quite a while, but who was very much well-known in my youth. Not to be overlooked is that she was a Playboy centerfold, so she lives in the erotic memories of young guys my age (and some women, as well, I suppose).

She wasn't a great actress, but she was likable -- somehow approachable, despite her beauty -- and made some notable appearances in The Silencers, The Courtship of Eddie's Father, and (probably her best) The Ballad of Cable Hogue. Sorry to see her go.

And here's our third sexpot of yesterday, though not as famous a one as Gina or Raquel, to die within in a 31-day-period. She died of Alzheimer's Disease at 84.
