First of the Creative Arts Emmys are announced.

One thing of note is that the Guest Acting categories have all black winners: Tiffany Haddish, Katt Williams, Samira Wiley and Ron Cephas Jones all won.

Christian Sprenger is nominated for shooting GLOW and Atlanta this year. He was my classmate at Columbia College. I'm very happy for him. He's an incredibly nice guy.

I've reworked my predictions. Edited in the rest of the categories, altered some of the ones already posted. Check them out.

I actually have seen and loved the first season of the show (The second season STILL hasn't dropped in my local Netflix, for some reason) so I hope so! Ted Danson and Kristen Bell would be very deserving nominees based on what I've seen.

Individuals can submit themselves in lieu of the network submitting them, so Roseanne could submit herself if she wanted.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if ABC chooses not to even submit the show at all for Emmy consideration at this point.

If ABC thinks the show is too toxic to remain on the air despite being a ratings juggernaut, I'd imagine that voters won't give those DVDs a minute of their time. You're probably right about some of the voters, but almost assuredly there are many who will look at this show (and all involved) as the opposition. I think that bloc of voters might be too much for Metcalf and Gilbert to overcome, especially considering that neither said they would leave the show as Wanda Sykes did. To be fair to them, they had a pretty small window on that one.

Au contraire. I think they might give them nominations for putting up with that bullshit. (I've seen a bunch of episodes, they're EASILY the best performers).
