I don't expect to skip it, but I don't expect to find much to like either. When the most interesting sounding announced presenter is a 9-year-old kid something's a little off.

I agree - I have watched every telecast since 1970 - this year's races have left me completely disinterested, and the thought of watching mad max win all the down ballot categories is a depressing thought - I am strongly considering skipping the whole telecast - first time in 46 years!ITALIANO wrote:I guess it's just me, and it must be partly because I still have to see some of this year's (hopefully) best nominees (Spotlight, Room, Brooklyn)... but I've never been least excited at an approaching Oscar night. I'd go into details but I don't want to spoil it for anyone who wants to see the awards unfolding on TV. It airs at 7:30 P.M. EST in the U.S.
