Best Supporting Actress 1948-1957

Not an easy one as there were a number of good picks here, but we're talking an entire decade and no one was a stronger presence in this category throughout the decade than Thelma Ritter who gets my vote for Pickup on South Street, one of her best performances in a career filled with great late career work.
