I expect Hugo's wins end here, but the way they're distributing the Oscars between Hugo and The Artist makes sense. Hugo, about the history of making movies, is winning the more tech-y of the technical awards. The Artist, about the history of movie stardom, is winning the more glamorous of the technical awards, assuming it also wins Score (which it will).
