I have only seen three of these. The Canadian film, J'ai tue ma mere, got a bunch of attention in Cannes and has won several festival prizes - recently one at the Vancouver International Film Festival.
Mother from S. Korea (from Joon-ho Bong: Memories of Murder, The Host) and Letters To Father Jacob, from Finland, are both quite good. Backyard, from Mexico, looks a bit like Traffic and plays out more like a US network cop drama. Disappointing but with strong subject matter.
