Re: 2013 Oscar Shouldabeens

Post by Precious Doll »

As I have now seen almost all of the major Oscar contenders (except for Dallas Buyers Club which I have zero interest in) I'll post my choices for 2013.

I still have a number of 'major' films from 2013 to see (Blue is the Warmest Colour, Heli, Zero Charisma, Escape From Tomorrow, Manilla Metro, Miss Violence, Omar, The Missing Picture, The Bastards, Stray Dog, At Berkeley, etc) so I will update this list in a few months time after I have hopefully seen most of the remaining films of note for 2013.

Based release in country of origin, not U.S. release dates.

Best Film

1. Ida
2. Nebraska
3. Behind the Candelabra
4. Like Father, Like Son
5. Gore Vidal: The United States of Amnesia

Best Director
