I thought they were supposed to have seven nominees in each acting category? If you can nominate 7 series every year, why the hell can't you nominate 7 actors/actresses, etc. I feel bad for Jane Fonda. She did much better work on Grace & Frankie than Lily Tomlin did.

Also, I told you that Lisa Kudrow would get an Emmy nod.

Lead Actress in a Drama Series

Claire Danes, Homeland
Viola Davis, How to Get Away with Murder
Taraji P. Henson, Empire
Tatiana Maslany, Orphan Black
Elizabeth Moss, Mad Men
Robin Wright, House of Cards

Way to go, Tatiana! Well-deserved. I just wish that Keri Russell could also get in.

I guess anything is possible. I love Kudrow, though I've never been able to watch her HBO series (not a subscriber). The only three people I want to see on the list based on what I've seen this season are Tomlin, Poehler and especially Fonda who gives one of her best performances since her heyday.

Two different critics at indieWire both have her at 6th place. We shall see. It was brilliant work (and her character even wins an Emmy in the show!)

No Lisa Kudrow for her poignant and hilarious return in The Comeback? I don't think so.

I would also sub out Margo Martindale for Lois Smith in The Americans. They both had literally one scene each this past season, but Smith was an acting tour-de-force and will be nominated. She might even win. I actually think it'll be Smith versus Cicely Tyson.

I'd love a surprise win for Cory Michael Smith who was astonishing in Olive Kitteridge. I don't think Bill Murray deserves a nomination.
