When my gang and I held our Ira awards a couple weeks ago, we voted on the 10 Best Films of The Naughts. Here's my list (I know a couple are from the 90s, but we were going according to New York Release dates:

Surprised by how low some of these ranked (namely Far from Heaven waaay down in the basement at #80 -- didn't that one flat-out win the poll in '02?!), delighted the only filmmaker to score two titles in the top 10 was Apichatpong "Joe," and can't resist imagining the retroactive egg on the faces of the Cannes juries of 2000 and 2001.
