Ditto on all of the above, though I liked it a little more than I expected when my family watched it (my second time) on New Year's, mostly because I knew about Jennifer Garner's character going the sad-pathetic route.

I wish someone would explain what all the fuss is about.

Ellen Page is OK, worthy of an Oscar nomination at best, but a win? I expect anything from critics' groups after Cameron Diaz won the New York Film Critics Award for There's Something About Mary, but the Oscars? No way.

The script has some clever dialogue, but much of it seems contrived and some of the things the kids say especially in the beginning of the film is so new speak, so hip I guess, that I had no idea what they were talking about.

Good supporting work from Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, Allison Janney and J.K. Simmons, but nothing award worthy.
