Finally caught up with Come and Get It with Walter Brennan's Oscar winning performance. He is very good in it even though I chose someone else for my award - have added him to my list though. It was also my first film with Frances Farmer. She is superb in her dual role (wonder if Dietrich based her Frenchy in Destry Rides Again on Farmer's character here?). The film is also a rare occasion to see Edward Arnold play a lead role. Funny how he does not age though his buddy Walter Brennan visibly ages alongside him. Also unusual to see Arnold's ''old'' character physically lusting after Farmer - who is his daughter's age! Surprised the censors did not object.

Dodsworth was one of the first 'classic' films I saw, and it's still one of my favourites. Magilla and Reza, thanks for doing these old oscar faves. I haven't seen a majority of these films, so they're great additions on the "To see" list (which, as usual is getting longer instead of shorter).
